Platform Website: treatlocal.co.uk
1.1 Binding Legal Agreement: These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Patient", "you", or "your") and Digital Health Group Ltd t/a Treatlocal ("Treatlocal", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Treatlocal website (treatlocal.co.uk), including any mobile applications, software, content, search directories, and associated digital services (collectively, the "Platform").
1.2 Acceptance: By accessing, browsing, registering an account with, booking an appointment through, or completing an online consultation on the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in full, alongside our [Privacy Policy] and [Cookie Policy].
1.3 Rejection of Terms: If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorised to use the Platform and must immediately cease access.
1.4 Amendments: Treatlocal reserves the right to revise, update, or amend these Terms at any time without prior individual notice. Any modifications will take effect immediately upon being posted on this page. Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
"Healthcare Provider" means any independent UK-registered healthcare clinic, community pharmacy, distance-selling (online) pharmacy, private medical practice, or healthcare organisation listed on or operating through the Platform to deliver NHS or private health services.
"Prescriber" means an independent healthcare professional (such as a GMC-registered Doctor, GPhC-registered Prescribing Pharmacist, or NMC-registered Independent Nurse Prescriber) engaged to evaluate online health questionnaires, conduct clinical consultations, and issue private prescriptions where clinically indicated.
"Partner Pharmacy" means a GPhC-registered pharmacy in the UK that dispenses and fulfils private prescriptions or delivers Patient Group Direction (PGD) services requested via the Platform.
"Services" means the technology, directory listings, appointment booking systems, consultation processing engines, pharmacy services management system and related intermediary software provided by Treatlocal via the Platform.
Treatlocal operates strictly as a digital healthcare platform, technology facilitator, and directory service. The Platform connects members of the public in the United Kingdom with UK-registered clinics, pharmacies, and prescribers for both NHS and private healthcare services. Treatlocal is also used by pharmacies as a services management system.
All clinical consultations, assessments, diagnoses, prescribing decisions, treatments, and care pathways are provided by independent Healthcare Providers and Prescribers.
NHS Services: Where Treatlocal facilitates booking or access to NHS-funded services hosted by partner clinics or pharmacies, such services remain strictly subject to NHS regulations, local commissioning guidelines, and NHS eligibility criteria.
Private Services: Fees for private appointments, online consultations, private prescriptions, and private treatments are clearly displayed prior to booking or purchase. If unsure, you must contact the clinic or ask prior to your appointment to confirm.
THE PLATFORM IS NOT INTENDED FOR EMERGENCY CARE.
If you are experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, acute physical trauma, severe chest pain, sudden breathlessness, severe bleeding, or symptoms of a stroke, you must immediately:
For urgent, non-life-threatening medical queries, please contact NHS 111 or consult your regular NHS General Practitioner (GP).
For select services, Treatlocal enables you to submit medical details via online consultation questionnaires. These details are reviewed securely by partner UK-registered Prescribers and Partner Pharmacies for clinical assessment.
Submitting a questionnaire or paying a consultation fee does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued or that a specific medication will be supplied.
A Prescriber reserves the right to decline a request for treatment, request further clinical information, or refer you to an alternative care setting (such as your NHS GP) if they determine that online treatment is unsafe or clinically inappropriate.
Where a private prescription is issued by a Prescriber, it will be electronically transmitted to a GPhC-registered Partner Pharmacy for dispensing and fulfilment or sent to a Partner Clinic for administration.
6.1 Provider Directory: Treatlocal provides searchable listings of registered clinics and pharmacies to assist users in finding local and online health services (similar to directory search engines).
6.2 No Endorsement: While Treatlocal verifies that partner clinics and pharmacies hold appropriate UK regulatory registrations (e.g., CQC, GPhC) at the time of onboarding, listing on the Platform does not constitute a warranty, endorsement, or guarantee by Treatlocal regarding the quality, efficacy, or individual outcome of care provided by any Healthcare Provider.
6.3 Appointment Fulfilment: Treatlocal facilitates the transmission of booking requests. Treatlocal is not responsible for appointment cancellations, scheduling delays, practitioner unavailability, or facility issues occurring at partner premises.
7.1 Age & Residency: You must be at least 18 years of age and physically located within the United Kingdom to register an account, request consultations, or book private services via Treatlocal.
7.2 Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the strict confidentiality of your account login details (email and password). You accept full legal responsibility for all activity occurring under your account.
7.3 Unauthorised Access: You agree to notify Treatlocal immediately via our support channels if you suspect any unauthorised access to or breach of your account security.
7.4 Right of Termination: Treatlocal reserves the right to suspend, freeze, or permanently terminate your account without prior notice if we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity, platform abuse, or a breach of these Terms.
You retain the discretion to discontinue using our digital services and submit a formal request to disable your user profile at any time, without being required to state a cause.
Disabling your profile immediately revokes your portal access, sign-in privileges, and interactive site functionalities; however, it does not purge your historical consultation logs or treatment archives.
In strict adherence to UK clinical governance standards, pharmacy regulations, and statutory healthcare record-keeping mandates, past consultation summaries, prescriber notes, and prescription logs must be preserved securely for predefined statutory retention periods.
Account disabling operates separately from a formal data erasure request under the UK GDPR. Where statutory medical obligations legally compel our clinical partners or us to maintain specific healthcare records, full erasure cannot be performed, and account closure serves as the compliant mechanism to restrict future processing.
By using the Platform to request consultations, bookings, or private prescriptions, you explicitly represent, warrant, and undertake that:
8.1 Truthful Information: All personal information, medical history, symptom details, existing conditions, ongoing medications (prescription and over-the-counter), allergies, and lifestyle factors supplied by you are 100% accurate, truthful, and complete.
8.2 No Concealment: You have not deliberately omitted, concealed, or misrepresented any medical information that could reasonably influence a Prescriber's decision or a clinic's treatment safety evaluation.
8.3 Personal Use Only: Any consultation request, prescription, or medication obtained through the Platform is strictly for your own personal medical use and will not be sold, transferred, or administered to any other individual.
8.4 Duty to Read Documentation: You will carefully read all patient information leaflets (PIL), packaging labels, warnings, and dosage instructions provided with any dispensed medication or treatment prior to administration.
8.5 NHS Primary Care Continuity: You are strongly advised to inform your NHS General Practitioner (GP) of any private consultations, diagnoses, or treatments obtained via Treatlocal to ensure safe continuity of care across your medical records. Some services will require your consent for the clinic/pharmacy to notify your GP.
9.1 Pricing: All fees for consultations, private prescriptions, clinic appointments, and associated service fees displayed on the Platform are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). If VAT applies to your order, it will be added to the price you pay.
9.2 Payment Authorisation: Payments are processed via encrypted third-party payment gateways. By submitting card details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
9.3 Consultation Fees Non-Refundable: Consultation fees cover the professional time and clinical assessment conducted by a Prescriber or Healthcare Provider. If a Prescriber evaluates your questionnaire and determines, in their professional judgment, that a prescription cannot be safely issued, the consultation assessment fee remains non-refundable (unless explicitly stated otherwise in a promotional offer) or you decide to not go ahead with the service after it has been approved.
9.4 Exclusions from Consumer Cancellation Rights: Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the statutory 14-day cooling-off/cancellation right does not apply to:
10.1 Authenticity: Treatlocal may enable users to submit reviews, ratings, and feedback regarding their experience with partner clinics, pharmacies, or prescribers. You agree that any feedback you submit will be honest, accurate, and based solely on your genuine first-hand experience. Treatlocal may contact you by phone, email, SMS or post about your booking/appointment.
10.2 Moderation: Treatlocal reserves the right (but assumes no obligation) to review, moderate, edit, or remove user content or reviews that are defamatory, offensive, fraudulent, contain personal health data of third parties, or violate applicable laws.
11.1 Ownership: Treatlocal retains sole ownership of all intellectual property rights in and to the Platform, including software code, databases, service directory structures, website layout, graphics, text, branding, logos, and trademarks.
11.2 Limited Licence: You are granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view the Platform strictly for personal, non-commercial healthcare management purposes.
11.3 Prohibited Actions: You must not copy, modify, distribute, publish, frame, scrape, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without Treatlocal's express written authorisation.
You strictly agree not to:

Treatlocal exercises no control over third-party content, policies, or safety standards and accepts no responsibility or liability for third-party platforms.
17.1 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or severed entirely without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
17.2 Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the complete agreement between you and Treatlocal concerning your use of the Platform, superseding all prior communications or understandings.
17.3 No Waiver: No delay or failure by Treatlocal to enforce any right or provision under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of such right or provision in the future.
18.1 Governing Law: These Terms, their subject matter, formation, and any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
